Dan Cammish achieved triple podium success at rounds 10, 11, and 12 of the British Touring Car Championship at the weekend (June 8/9) despite feeling under the weather prior coming into Thruxton.

After two free practice sessions, Dan started qualifying in Part 1 Group 1, and topped the times, getting him through to Part 2, and finished in the top six there, making it to the Quick Six shootout once again. He topped the timings with a few minutes to go before a late flyer dropped him to P2, but it was a good start to the proceedings.

All cars started on the hard tyre for round 10 with Dan positioned in second place on the grid. As the lights went out, he was able to capitalise on the car in front being slow off the line and went side-by-side through the first corner. The Safety Car was called on the second lap, which meant it would be an 18-lap race to the end and, after it was called in, Dan was only half a second behind the car in front and, pushing hard to keep his rivals behind, he finished second in his NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus ST.

Lining up in second for round 11, Dan was amid the action and unfortunately lost a few places trying to avoid a collision, which lost him some momentum. There was a four-car battle for the lead and Dan was putting pressure on the car in third, and when the race was at half distance, he was able to get past and took third place as well as recording the fastest lap. After the race, Tom Ingram was penalised for missing the chicane and gaining an advantage, which meant Dan was classified in second place again.

The Yorkshireman started sixth for the final race of the weekend, after the reverse grid draw, and with chaos playing out around him he was up into third after bravely making a move on one of the fastest parts of the circuit on the first lap. Halfway through the race Dan followed teammate Ash Sutton into second place and, after another superb drive, he crossed the line to take his third podium of the weekend.

It was the best weekend of the season so far for the Napa Racing UK driver with three second place podiums. He will be looking to continue this success at Oulton Park over (June 22/23) for rounds 13, 14, and 15 of the British Touring Car Championship season.
