Dan Cammish:
“Last year we had two poles and two wins. I’m just as fast as I ever was, so I see no reason at all why we can’t challenge for the podium and go for race wins so we shall see.
“I like the circuit, it’s good fun out the back, it’s very technical but you just have to hang on through the fast stuff. It’s my home race and I always go well there so let’s see but I’m feeling confident.”
Daniel Cammish heads to his home circuit of Croft in Yorkshire, full of confidence for rounds seven and eight of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this weekend.
The Leeds-based driver currently leads the championship standings after a perfect score at Oulton Park two weeks ago, taking two pole positions, two fastest laps and two wins. He now leads the championship by 20 points from nearest rival Dino Zamparelli. The Nationwide Crash Repair/PPG Paint sponsored driver was equally unstoppable at Croft last year, taking a perfect score on that occasion as well.
So far this season Dan has crossed the line first in all six races, with a track limits infringement being the only blemish on an otherwise perfect scorecard. He will be hoping his good form continues at Croft before the championship heads into its usual summer break at the mid-point of the season.
Track action will begin on Friday 17th June for two practice sessions at 09.45 and 13.40. Qualifying will be on Saturday 18th June at 14.10 with both races on Sunday 19th June – race one starting at 12.42 and race two at 16.19.
