Dan Cammish:
“I’m looking forward to it. It’s always been a good track for me, and we’ve had some good results there in the last couple of years. It’s great for me because it’s where the Nationwide journey started, back in 2014. Tim watched me do so well in the guest car and that’s when the relationship started. We’ve had some good success in the past few years.
“I’m disappointed in where we are in the championship, but I’ll be there to do the best I possibly can for Nationwide, PPG and the Redline team. I just want to go there and do the best job we can. Nothing less than a double victory will do. And no flames!”
Daniel Cammish returns to Porsche Carrera Cup GB action on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend (September 30 / October 1), aiming to end the season on a high in his Nationwide Crash Repair/PPG Paint-backed 991 GT3 Cup machine.
The famous 2.6-mile Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch is a highlight on the calendar, and a good leveller for competitors due to the lack of test days on the full track. Dan has taken victories at the Kent venue each of the previous three years, the last two of which were en route to championship success.
Dan finds himself with lots to do after two disappointing outings at Knockhill, where he was forced off track by title rival Charlie Eastwood, and Silverstone, where he retired with the car on fire whilst leading comfortably. He is third in the standings and still has a chance to secure the title and is optimistic about a strong finish.
Dan will be on track for two 45-minute free practice sessions on Friday 29th September at 11:30 and 16:40, with qualifying on Saturday 30th at 12:05. The two races take place on Sunday 1st October, with race one at 10:40 and race two being shown live on ITV4 at 16:15.
