Dan Cammish:
“Whilst it is really disappointing for me, I have to thank Dynamics for their faith in bringing me into the Championship three years ago, if it wasn’t for the team, I probably wouldn’t have got my ‘big break’ in the BTCC and managed to do what I have done. We have parted on exceptional terms and I will be keeping in contact going forward. You never know what the future brings.”
It is with regret that Dan Cammish can confirm he will not be a part of Team Dynamics’ British Touring Car Championship line up for the 2021 season, after three successful years in the series, where he narrowly missed out on the title at the final round in both ’19 and ‘20.
Claiming two victories in his first year in the BTCC, the Yorkshireman went even better next time out, looking set to secure the Drivers’ Championship until a mechanical failure during the final race sent him off track at high speed with just one and a half laps remaining.
Bouncing back for 2020, Dan took two wins in the opening four races of the campaign and once again went into the final round with a chance at the title but, despite securing another win and podium, fell just short in the standings.
Dan is already in discussion with teams regarding a drive for the 2021 season and will make further announcements in due course.
Matt Neal
“Dan is a fantastic guy and has been a great driver for us. He is blindingly fast and a demon in the wet and I’d like to think I’ve taught him a few things along the way, but he has certainly taught me a few things as well! We wish him all the very best for the future and will very much be keeping in touch.”
James Rodgers, Team Manager Team Dynamics
“Dan is and always will be part of the Dynamics family. We have tried very hard to keep him as part of the team for 2021, but it was not to be, and we have had to part ways. Dan has been a formidable driver for us over the past three seasons and that has been borne out in him challenging for the championship title over the past two years.”
